Provenance: Private Collection Purchased from the artist from his studio in 1964 Whishaw comments on this evocative work: "It is of a village near Ronda called Grazalema ,and was painted in Puerto de Santa Maria where I had a studio for about 6 months. I rarely paint directly from nature, rather I am more interested in trying to extract an essence."
